Appearances

Notes

Stu and Ambrose wished Joey a happy birthday during The Dripping Tap. Gaia featured a Cavs drum solo over a metal vamp from the band. Oddlife was introduced as “Cookie’s favorite song”. Boogieman Sam was dedicated to soundman Sam Joseph and contained Cut Throat Boogie teases/quotes, “My Babe” (Little Walter), “Got My Mojo Working” (Ann Cole), and “Going Up the Country” (Canned Heat) quotes and Sleepwalker teases. Sea of Trees was introduced as “what King Gizzard was originally called” and “Lucas’s favorite song”, and contained Head On/Pill and The Bitter Boogie teases. Hypertension was played over the PA as the setbreak music, which incidentally served as the “debut” for the studio track. I’m Not in Your Mind contained Alter Me teases. A New World through Altered Beast III featured Leah Senior providing narration. Alter Me I contained an Altered Beast III tease. Alter Me II and Altered Beast III were played for the first time since 2019-10-07 (90 show gap). The intro to Iron Lung featured additional vocals about “hot buns”. Robot Stop contained a Hot Water tease. Iron Lung was reprised during Mr. Beat. Joey was hit with silly string at the conclusion of the show, and Ambrose quoted “Happy Birthday, Lisa” (The Simpsons) for the second night in a row. This show was released through the Official Bootlegger program as part of Live at Red Rocks ‘22. Poster By Jason Galea
